2026-27 Birchwood Supply Lists

Supplies are shared. Please only label items with your student’s name where indicated.

Kindergarten Supply List

  • 1 package (12 count, pre-sharpened) Ticonderoga pencils
  • 1 package (24 count) Crayola Twistable Crayons (unscented, standard colors)
  • 1 package (12 count) Crayola Colored Pencils (not twistable)
  • 1 package (24 count) Crayola Twistable Colored Pencils
  • 3 large (.77 oz) glue sticks
  • 4 pack black Fine Tip Expo dry erase markers
  • 2 plastic pocket folders (labeled)
  • 1 plastic clipboard (labeled)
  • Wired headphones (no ear buds or Bluetooth)
  • 2 boxes of tissues
  • Full size backpack (no wheels)
  • Bag of spare clothes (labeled)

Optional

  • Play doh (standard size – 4oz.)
  • Kinetic sand (2.5 lb bag)
  • Clorox wipes

First Grade Supply List

  • 48 Ticonderoga No. 2 pencils (already sharpened)
  • 1 primary marble composition notebook labeled with your name
  • 1 box pencil-top erasers
  • 1 box of washable markers
  • 12-24 small glue sticks
  • 1 package of Post-It Notes
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 2 plastic folders
  • 1 standard plastic pencil box
  • 1 pack of 4 black thin dry-erase markers (Expo brand if possible)
  • 2 boxes of Twistable crayons (non-scented, no fun effects)
  • Antibacterial wipes (for classroom cleaning)
  • 3 boxes of facial tissue
  • 1 box of Ziploc gallon bags
  • 1 pair of headphones

Note: Students will be supplied with their with ta “take home folder.” They will be durable red folders. 

Second Grade Supply List

Some supplies will be shared and some will be kept in a pencil box for each student.

  • 24 sharpened pencils (at least)
  • 2 large glue sticks or 4 small
  • 1 highlighter
  • 2 box of tissues
  • 2 container of disinfecting wipes
  • 4 folders w/pockets: 1 color of each (green, yellow, red, blue – plastic preferred)
  • 1 set of headphones or earbuds (not bluetooth)
  • 1 box of (8 -12) markers
  • 2 boxes of 24 crayons
  • Scissors
  • Plastic pencil box (8” x 5” should fit one box of crayons, markers, scissors
    and 1 glue stick)

Each second grade class has a few specific requests:

Mrs. Mooney

  • 5 thick black dry erase markers
  • 1 dry erase board eraser
  • Optional: 1 box Ziploc bags (gallon)

Mrs. Pesez

  • 5 thin black dry erase markers
  • One pack of 3×3 Post It Notes
  • Optional: 1 box gallon OR sandwich sized Ziploc bags

Mrs. Kennedy

  • 5 thick black dry erase markers
  • Optional: 1 box gallon Ziploc bags OR sandwich sized Ziploc bags

Third Grade Supply List

  • Green plastic folder (labeled Science)
  • Yellow plastic folder (labeled Social Studies)
  • Blue plastic folder (labeled Math)
  • Red plastic folder (labeled ELA)
  • One plastic folder of your choice (take-home folder)
  • 1 composition notebook
  • 2 dozen pre sharpened pencils
  • 1 pack of colored pencils
  • 2 glue sticks

  • 1 pack of fine dry erase markers
  • 1 small pack of standard size (3×3) post-its
  • 1 headphone set with small case
  • 1 zippered pencil pouch

Fourth Grade Supply List

Mrs. Denney (4De), Ms. King (4K), and Mrs. Bielawski (4B)

  • Earbuds or headphones (required)
  • Pencils No. 2 (1 box of 12 sharpened)
  • Glue sticks (3-4)
  • Cap erasers for pencils (small package)
  • 12 inch ruler and 6 inch protractor
  • Crayons (box of 24)
  • Colored pencils (Twistables preferred, box of 12)
  • Markers (box of 8-10)
  • Scissors
  • Small pencil case to hold supplies in desk
  • Dry erase markers (box of 8, assorted colors)
  • Dry erase erasers

  • Antibacterial wipes
  • Post-It Notes 3×3, 100 pack, any color, no lines
  • Black and white composition, wide ruled notebook.

Note: Your child’s homeroom teacher will be confirmed in August. You may be asked to supply a few additional items that are unique to that teacher.

Fifth Grade Supply List

Mrs. Maclutsky, Ms. Melfe, and Mr. Rogers

  • 1 headphone set (in a baggie or case labeled with name)
  • 2 (24 count) boxes of #2 pencils, pre-sharpened
  • 4 glue sticks
  • 1 (4) pack of dry-erase markers
  • 1 dry eraser (or sock)
  • 1 pair of scissors for children
  • 1 (24-pack) of crayons -OR- One 12 pack of colored pencils
  • 1 (10 pack) of washable markers
  • 3 boxes of tissues
  • 1 container antibacterial wipes
  • Girls: 1 box of gallon sized baggies
  • Boys: one box of sandwich baggies
  • 1 roll of paper towels
