Niskayuna High School seeks Hall of Fame nominations

Niskayuna High School is accepting nominations for 2023 induction to the school’s Hall of Fame, a gallery of graduates who have made significant contributions to their professions or communities.

The Niskayuna High School Hall of Fame was instituted as part of the school’s 25th anniversary in 1983. It honors graduates who have distinguished themselves in a specific field of endeavor, in civic affairs, humanitarian affairs, or other areas deemed to merit special recognition.

“It is our hope that today’s students see in these inductees, people worthy of emulation,” High School Principal John Rickert said. “We believe the Hall of Fame program contributes to our positive school climate, and brings our community together in sharing the successes of our native sons and daughters.”

A committee of community members, students, faculty and administrators will select the 2023 inductees from nominations submitted by members of the public. To be eligible for consideration to the Hall of Fame, one must have been a graduate of Niskayuna High School.

The formal induction into the Hall of Fame will take place as part of commencement exercises in June 2023.

A plaque recognizing the Hall of Fame inductee will be permanently housed on the Hall of Fame wall at the main entrance area of Niskayuna High School.

Completed nomination forms must be submitted no later than Monday, January 31, 2023.
