Information About Ordering Tickets for Home Athletic Contests

Tickets to be sold for JV/Varsity Boys Basketball and Wrestling contests

The Niskayuna Central School District is joining the growing list of area high schools that are using the GoFan ticketing system for parents, students and community members to attend certain athletic contests and events. The GoFan online ticketing system will be launched soon for all home JV/Varsity Boys Basketball and Wrestling contests.  A major reason for our decision to use this method of purchasing tickets is to help us to be able to control the capacity restrictions that have been set based on the district’s Safety Plan and approved by the Board of Education. It also eliminates the need to exchange  cash, improving safe distancing at the admission gate.  Please read the following instructions that will help you to purchase tickets.

Signing Up for GoFan, Ordering Tickets, Downloading the App

Visit https://gofan.co/ or download the mobile app (strongly recommended).

Sign-up for GoFan is easy, it only takes an email address and a password.  Once signed -in, simply search “Niskayuna High School”, and pick the event you wish to purchase tickets for.

When you arrive at the event, you will redeem your ticket on your device and show the attendant.  Tickets must be redeemed in the presence of an event admission staff member.  No cash exchange will take place and only digital tickets will be accepted. The link below will show you how to present tickets at the event.

Many fans will find it easier and more convenient to download the GoFan app and manage ticket purchases there.

Admission Cost and Ticket Availability

The price for attending the boys JV and Varsity basketball games and wrestling matches is $4.00.  Everyone who is admitted to these contests must have a valid ticket.  This includes young children and senior citizens.  There is no charge for girls’ basketball games at home and no charge for Freshmen basketball games.

If you arrive at the game and it is not sold out, you can buy your ticket on your phone right then and there.  If the game is sold out and you are unable to secure admission, please note that basketball games will be livestreamed on the Niskayuna Athletics YouTube channel.  This link can be found under the “Athletics” drop down menu at niskyschools.org.

JV/Varsity Boys Basketball

There will be 600 tickets available for JV/Varsity Boys Basketball.

On the Friday before Tuesday games and on the Monday before Friday games, players’ families will receive a ticket link.  This will allow families of players to buy tickets before they go on sale to the general public. The link will be sent to parents’ email addresses and to the student-athletes’ school email address.

*This will be open for 24 hours.  On Saturday and Tuesday, the GoFan ticket window will be open to the general public.

December 10th Alert:  The Niskayuna High School Girls Basketball team is playing Shen at Shen on the same night as the boys teams play at Niskayuna. Shen is requiring that tickets be purchased for all girls and boys games. Before you purchase your tickets, make sure you are picking the ticket for the correct game. The two ticket options are next to each other on the app.  If you show up with a girls’ ticket to the boys game you will not be admitted unless the game is not sold out.

Wrestling

There will be 175 tickets available for wrestling matches.

On the Friday before Wednesday matches, wrestlers’ families will receive a ticket link.  As stated above, this link will be sent to parents’ email addresses and to the student-athletes’ school email address.

*This will be open for 24 hours.  On Saturday the GoFan ticket window will be open to the general public.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and your cooperation as we transition to the GoFan system and to in-person access to our home contests. We look forward to seeing you there.

Please note, however, that if you are attending a game at another school, they may be following other restrictions, ticketing processes, and protocols.   Please click on the link below to find out what those schools are requiring from visitors and how to purchase tickets for those games
