Niskayuna High School to induct one new member to alumni Hall of Fame

One Niskayuna High School alumni will be inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame this year. Dr. Marc Auerbach from the Class of 1979 will be officially inducted on June 24 during the 2026 Commencement Ceremony at MVP Arena in Albany.

Dr. Auerbach earned his medical degree at the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and a Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation at the New York University School of Medicine. He is a distinguished Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine and a nationally recognized pioneer in pediatric simulation. 

As the founding co-chair of INSPIRE, the world’s largest simulation research network, Dr. Auerbach has helped influence how medical professionals train. By using high-tech simulations to recreate real-world scenarios, his work has raised the bar for pediatric trauma and resuscitation care both across the country and abroad. At Yale University, he balances clinical work, teaching, and leading several programs dedicated to saving young lives.
