Board of Education meetings will continue to be held with both in-person public attendance and a livestream. Information about the September 14 regular meeting and September 21 special meeting is below.
Attending In Person
Everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask and seating is arranged to provide for social distancing. The Van Antwerp Library Media Center will be used as an overflow room with a livestream of the meeting as needed.
Addressing the Board During Privilege of the Floor
The Board of Education welcomes comments from district residents at regular Board meetings during a Privilege of the Floor portion that takes place toward the beginning of the agenda. Anyone who wishes to address the Board during Privilege of the Floor will do so in person. In order to be sure that we can accommodate speakers, those who plan to make a public comment at the meeting must notify District Clerk Cynthia Gagnon by noon on the day of the meeting by email, cgagnon@niskyschools.org, or by phone, (518) 377-4666, ext. 4. (It is not necessary to submit comments ahead of time; simply provide your name and address.)
Comments made during privilege of the floor are limited to three minutes. The Board may limit Privilege of the Floor to 30 minutes so that it may efficiently conduct its business for the evening.
Meeting Livestreams & Recordings
Livestreams of each meeting will continue to be provided so that community members can follow along without the need to attend in person. The livestream web address will be provided before each meeting and can be found on the district calendar and Board meeting web page.
