The Niskayuna High School Science Olympiad team recently ranked first in the Capital Region and won third place overall at the Capital Region Invitational at Columbia High School in East Greenbush.
The competition included 38 teams from states across the Northeast and featured 25 challenges in subjects ranging from astronomy, chemistry and engineering. Challenges test students’ skills and knowledge in a variety of ways, from designing and building a bridge to assessing their understanding of anatomy and physiology.
