Registration now open: Summer Engineering Institute

Registration is now open for the Summer 2023 Engineering Institutes. This is a week-long camp for students who will be entering grades 7 through 9 during the fall of 2023 and have a strong interest in science and engineering technology. It is being offered by the Niskayuna Central School District in partnership with GE Global Research.

This year, the Engineering Institute for Young Women will take place during the week of July 10 while the Engineering Institute for Young Men will be held during the week of July 17. The cost is $275 per student, and registration is first come, first served. Registration will be open until Friday, April 28th, or until the 40 openings per camp are filled. The registration fee is non-refundable after April 28th. Spots could go quickly, so parents are encouraged to sign students up as soon as possible.

Registration is a two-step process. Please complete both steps as soon as possible to reserve a spot for your child:

  1. Complete the online registration form

  2. Print and complete the payment form and return it to the address indicated

Student registration is not confirmed until payment is received.

The camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. Families will need to provide transportation to and from Niskayuna High School, as well as lunch.

The camp offers students a week of exploration and discovery into the “STEAM” fields of science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
