We have received many inquiries from students, their families and our staff regarding the upcoming solar eclipse (April 8) and our Spring Recess. Many have expressed disappointment that our recess wasn’t better aligned with the eclipse.
The district has consulted with our Board of Education and together we have elected to extend our spring recess by one day and delay our return to school to Tuesday, April 9.
We hope the extended recess allows you the opportunity to travel north and to view the full eclipse or take part however you can!
