The Niskayuna Central School District is offering two educational opportunities designed to support student development and engagement during the summer months.
Summer Enrichment Program
The Summer Enrichment Program features classes led by Niskayuna faculty and staff in subject areas including performing arts, creative writing, sciences, world languages and outdoor education. These morning sessions provide students with an academic environment that encourages continued learning throughout the summer.
The two week long program is open to students in grades K-11. It runs from July 20-24 and July 27-31 from 8-11 a.m. at Craig Elementary School.
More information about the session is available in the program packet. Registration may be completed online through Arbiter.
Camp Invention
Niskayuna is proud to host this hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) summer camp. Led by Niskayuna teachers and developed by the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Camp Invention fosters creativity, problem-solving and innovation. Students will explore new concepts, build unique inventions and discover real-world applications in an exciting, high-energy environment.
Camp Invention will take place July 13-17 from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at Iroquois Middle School. The camp is open to students entering grades 1-6.
The Leaders-in-Training (LIT) program is open to students entering grades 7-9. Participants will develop mentoring and collaboration skills as they guide campers through hands-on activities at our in-person sites.
Registration for the camp is available online. High school volunteers must sign up to participate as leadership intern volunteers.
