Please Join Us: Capital Project Community Cafes in August

We have scheduled a series of virtual community cafes in August to provide an update as we move toward a December capital project referendum and to gather input from parents and families, teachers, staff and students to help shape our long-range facilities planning. Following the school configuration decision this spring, our team has been working to incorporate the district program vision and community feedback from forums and surveys in recent years into a facilities plan. We have some concepts to share at these cafes and hope you can make it!

The dates and focus areas are below. Please RSVP if you plan to attend: https://forms.gle/kVHv7MotKN7UdBPp6

What are these cafes?

An opportunity to learn more about our facilities planning and provide input into draft concepts. These cafes will be virtual events in which you’ll receive an overview of plans to date and then have an opportunity for discussion with neighbors, fellow residents and district teachers and staff members.

Why are we holding these cafes?

We have a responsibility to maintain our facilities and ensure that our school buildings match the vision of a future-focused education we have for our students. A capital project vote will take place on Dec. 15 of this year, and we want our plans to reflect the values and priorities of our school community.

When are these events?

Each community cafe will focus on a particular academic level or area. Because the approval and construction process for any project generally takes a few years, consider where your child(ren) will be in the next three to five years or longer. Come to one, come to a few, come to them all!
