If the capital project is approved, what will you see?

Van Antwerp Middle School

Continuing the middle-level reconfiguration by completing:

  • Addition of 11 classrooms and support space by way of relocating district offices (DO relocation costs will come out of district general fund)
  • Modernized, brightened cafeteria with expanded capacity for a greater number of students
  • Dedicated music spaces for daily lessons/practice
  • Upgraded library/media center
  • Dedicated makerspace
  • Redesign work that will lower the number of differing elevation points throughout the building (there are 27 currently)
  • New bus loop and parent drop-off

Elementary School Facilities

Modernization and enhancement of communal spaces in each elementary school including:

    • Cafeteria
      • Modernizing and brightening lighting, flooring and fixtures
      • Implementing air-conditioning
    • Library/Media Center
      • Upgrading lighting and flooring features
    • Gymnasiums
      • Installing new audio/video systems to streamline and increase technological capabilities for large group or school-wide events and presentations
    • Playground equipment repairs and replacements

    High School

    Critical Infrastructure needs such as:

    • Auditorium wall
      • The exterior side is being permeated by water, must be replaced to avoid further moisture damage to the school/auditorium
