Marie Digirolamo, our Assistant Superintendent for Instruction, will be transitioning to a new role at Ichabod Crane Central School District, where she will serve as their new Superintendent of Schools, starting July 1. We thank Mrs. Digirolamo’s dedicated leadership and service at NCSD and wish her the best in her new position.
A search process for the district’s next Assistant Superintendent for Instruction is underway, with interviews of qualified candidates being held in the coming weeks. We anticipate nominating a qualified candidate for consideration by our board of education later this summer.
To ensure continuity and effective leadership in our Office of Instruction during the summer, the board of education has appointed Jessica Moore, our K-12 Director of Science, Engineering, Technology, and Mathematics, to serve as Acting Assistant Superintendent for Instruction starting July 1. Mrs. Moore will fill this role until a permanent successor is in place.
Mrs. Moore brings extensive experience to this interim position, previously serving as middle school assistant principal in Niskayuna and K-12 Director of Science & Technology for the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District. She has worked closely with Mrs. Digirolamo and the district’s leadership team to ensure a seamless transition into the summer. Our entire leadership team is providing additional resources and assistance during this transition to ensure that the needs of our principals, faculty, staff, and students are met in preparation for the upcoming school year.
