ParentSquare is the new unified school-to-home communications application that the district will begin using with the start of this year. On Wednesday, Aug. 25, parents/guardians received a message at the email address the district has on file asking them to join ParentSquare and activate your account.
If you haven’t done so yet, we encourage you to activate your account today. Parents/guardians need to do this from the email address at which you receive the activation email.
Activating your account gives you the the ability to familiarize yourself with ParentSquare and consider your communications preferences. We also encourage you to make the most of ParentSquare by downloading the ParentSquare App for mobile devices:
The benefit of ParentSquare is that it puts many of the varied communications that come from school (messages from teachers and notices from schools and the district) in one place. The app provides a place where you can see messages that are posted, receive push notifications, view the district calendar, and even do things like sign-up for parent-teacher conferences or to volunteer at school.
In the coming days, you will begin to see some messages come through the new system. Ultimately, ParentSquare will replace School Messenger for district and school notifications. Our plan is to transition fully to ParentSquare as soon as possible, yet many families may receive duplicate messages in the near future as part of our efforts to be sure no one misses any important communication.
