Update: Host families are needed for one female student from Spain and one female student from China. Both students are entering grade 11.
Each year, Niskayuna High School welcomes several international students through the International Scholars Program. Students live with a local host family, take high school classes, and learn about American life and culture by becoming members of the Niskayuna community.
For the 2026-27 school year, host families are needed for one female student from China entering grade 11 and one female student from Spain entering grade 11. The families would host the student from late August 2026 through the end of June 2027.
Hosting can be a rewarding experience for both students and host families. For many, it marks the beginning of a friendship that lasts a lifetime.

The program coordinators can answer questions, discuss the host family selection process and connect you with previous host families to hear about their international student experiences.
