Running for the Board
If you are interested in joining the Niskayuna CSD Board of Education, there are requirements, deadlines, and processes that must be adhered to.
To qualify, you must be:
- A U.S. citizen
- At least 18 years old
- Able to read and write,
- A district resident for at least one year.
Petition packets are available from the District Clerk and include everything you need to get started.
An Overview of Serving as a Board Member
The district publishes this information to provide potential candidates for the Board of Education with information an overview of the responsibilities and expectations associated with serving on the Board of Education. It also serves to provide the public with a deeper understanding of the role of the Board and its members.
Voting Information
The annual Board of Education election and school budget vote and takes place on the third Tuesday in May each year.
