The Freedom of Information Law requires districts to remind stakeholders they have access to records and procedures and inform them how to obtain that information.
For access to the Niskayuna Central School District’s records under the New York State Freedom of Information Law, please contact the Records Access Officer by mail, email or in person. Reach us by email to FOIL@niskyschools.org or by mail or in person to:
Records Access Officer
Niskayuna Central School District
1430 Balltown Road
Niskayuna, NY 12309
In person requests must also be made in writing, and may be submitted during regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Requests should state that information is being sought under the Freedom of Information Law and provide a brief description of the public records requested. Please be as specific as possible (i.e. relevant dates, names, descriptions, etc.).
The district’s Director of Business and Finance will acknowledge receipt of any FOIL requests within five business days. The nature of the request will determine how quickly the information can be provided.
For more information about the Freedom of Information Law, visit the Committee on Open Government website.
