Polling Locations
The annual school budget vote and Board of Education election takes place on the third Tuesday in May each year. Voting takes place at Niskayuna High School between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Who Is Eligible To Vote?
You must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older, and a district resident for at least 30 days prior to the vote. Personal identification and proof of residence may be requested.
Absentee/Early Mail Ballot Information
Absentee and early mail ballot applications are available 30 days before the budget vote.
- At the District Office, 1430 Balltown Road, during regular business hours of 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. weekdays.
- By calling or emailing District Clerk Cynthia Gagnon, at (518) 377-4666, ext. 4.
Applications are due seven days before the budget vote if the ballot is to be mailed. After that date, please contact the District Clerk for information on how to obtain an absentee or early mail ballot. Completed absentee and early mail ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5 p.m. on the date of the vote.
