An opportunity for Niskayuna Parents
“A Post COVID-19 Playbook for Parents: Working Through Trauma, Anxiety and Dysregulation”
Students have been through a unique experience with the COVID-19 pandemic and many of them will struggle to return to a structured classroom setting this fall.
Please see below for a unique workshop that will focus on the impact Covid-19 has had on children and parents. Parents will learn practical strategies such as establishing a self-care and mindfulness practices and will leave feeling empowered and hopeful about being equipped to guide themselves and their children through this difficult time.
This session will be hosted by Jennifer L. Bashant, Ph.D., LMSW, MA, founder of Building Better Futures LLC. Dr. Bashant is an Educational Consultant and Trainer with the mission to provide educators and parents with evidence-based strategies to reduce challenging behavior in the classroom, and therefore have a positive impact on learning. Her approach is trauma-sensitive and strengths-based, and she seeks to foster collaborative relationships between educators, students and families as partners in learning.
