On Thursday, July 25, a series of capital project community forums will continue as we seek feedback on facilities priorities and school configuration scenarios under discussion. In order to gather even more input, we are also opening a a community-wide conversation via Thoughtexchange on the options today.
School configuration refers to the potential to change the grade levels served by district schools. We need your feedback as we explore whether an approach other than the current configuration would be more effective in advancing our program vision and a facilities plan that promotes health, safety and the effective and efficient use of resources. See the six configuration scenarios identified in an outside study completed this spring.
Here’s what we are asking in this Thoughtexchange: What thoughts and questions do you have about the school configuration options that have been shared?

Your feedback will be critical as the Board of Education considers narrowing the options to two or three for more in-depth review. This Thoughtexchange will close on August 2. The input from the community forums and Thoughtexchange will be compiled and shared with the Board and public shortly after that date.
More information about key aspects of this planning process is below. We hope to see you at an upcoming forum and to learn about your perspective through the Thoughtexchange!
