Member of Glencliff school community tests positive for COVID-19 (Nov. 29)

We want to let you know that the district has learned that a member of the Glencliff Elementary School community has tested positive for COVID-19. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict the district from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information and we cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

We have worked closely with Schenectady County Public Health Services to identify those who had contact with this individual at school. All individuals determined to be a contact have been notified about the need to quarantine.

We again remind you that we are following all of the necessary health and safety precautions outlined in our reopening plan, including mask-wearing, social distancing and enhanced cleaning and disinfecting. We will continue to work in close partnership with our public health partners.

We recognize that this is a challenging and uncertain time. Please know that we are here for all of you and our students, and remain committed to taking all necessary health and safety precautions as we navigate this situation as a community.
