COVID-19 Information (Feb. 26): Testing Concludes with One Positive Result Total

The district concluded this week’s COVID-19 testing at Niskayuna High School today with 136 tests and 1 positive result. Contact tracing was conducted based on the positive result, and all individuals determined to be a contact have been notified directly.

As noted throughout the week, approximately 20 percent of the number of in-person students and staff members were tested by school based on the consent provided earlier this year. The testing is now complete, with a total of 606 tests conducted and 1 positive.

Additionally, members of an interscholastic athletic team (14 individuals) have been quarantined due to contact at a recent away contest with an adult who later tested positive for COVID-19. The individual who tested positive is not a member of the Niskayuna school community.
