COVID-19 Information: Member of Rosendale Community Tests Positive (Nov. 24)

The purpose of this message is to let you know that the district has learned that a member of the Rosendale Elementary School community has tested positive for COVID-19. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict the district from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information and we cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

We worked closely with Schenectady County Public Health Services to identify those who had contact with this individual at school. Public health will communicate directly with anyone determined to be a contact about the need to quarantine and any other precautions.

We again remind you that we are following all of the necessary health and safety precautions outlined in our reopening plan, including mask-wearing, social distancing and enhanced cleaning and disinfecting. We will continue to work in close partnership with our public health partners.

We recognize that this is a challenging and uncertain time. Please know that we are here for all of you and our students, and remain committed to taking all necessary health and safety precautions as we navigate this situation as a community.
