COVID-19 Information: Confirmed Case at Glencliff (Nov. 23)

The purpose of this message is to let you know that we have learned that a member of the Glencliff Elementary School community has tested positive for COVID-19. However, based on the timing of when they were last at the school, Schenectady County Public Health Services has advised that there is no need for contact tracing within the district and no one needs to quarantine due to possible exposure in the school/work setting.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict the district from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information and we cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

We again remind you that we are following all of the necessary health and safety precautions outlined in our reopening plan, including mask-wearing, social distancing and enhanced cleaning and disinfecting. We will continue to work in close partnership with our public health partners.

We recognize that this is a challenging and uncertain time. Please know that we are here for all of you and our students, and remain committed to taking all necessary steps in the interest of health and safety as our community navigates this situation.
