COVID-19 Information: Confirmed Case at Craig (Nov. 19)

I want to let you know that the district has learned that a member of the Craig Elementary School Community has tested positive for COVID-19. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict the district from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information and we cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

We are working closely with Schenectady County Public Health Services to identify those who had contact with this individual at school. Anyone determined to be a contact of the individual will be contacted directly by public health about the need to quarantine.

Craig remains open for in-person instruction. We again remind you that we are following all of the necessary health and safety precautions outlined in our reopening plan, including mask-wearing, social distancing and enhanced cleaning and disinfecting. We will continue to work in close partnership with our public health partners.

We recognize that this is a challenging and uncertain time. Please know that we are here for all of you and our students, and remain committed to taking all necessary health and safety precautions as we navigate this situation as a community.
