The Class of 2019 Graduation will take place at Proctors Theatre on Thursday June 27, beginning at 7 p.m.
Seniors will receive a detailed informational letter in mid-May from Mr. Rickert. This letter will also be sent home to all senior families. If you do not receive a letter, extra copies will be available in the Counseling Center.
Graduation rehearsal is scheduled for Tuesday, June 25, 2019. All students are required to attend. Exceptions will not be granted for work commitments. If a student cannot attend for another reason, please bring a written note, signed by a parent, to Mr. Bianchi by Monday, June 3.
On the day of rehearsal, students will assemble at the high school auditorium at 8:15 a.m. for a brief meeting and then they will be bussed to Proctors. No one will be permitted to drive their own car. Students will return from Proctors around 11:15 a.m. They will then receive their cap and gown, tickets, and any other materials pertaining to graduation. Students must have any outstanding obligations settled (e.g. media fines, detentions, lost textbook fines, cafeteria debts and athletic uniforms) before receiving their tickets and cap and gown. The Senior BBQ, sponsored by the High School PTO, will take place immediately after the distribution of caps and gowns.
Every graduate receives four tickets for family use. No one will be admitted to graduation without a ticket. The graduate does not need a ticket. A form to request extra tickets will be included in the mailing that will be sent home in May. The form should be returned to Ms. Gillen or Mr. Bianchi in the Counseling Center by June 3. We expect to be able to honor all reasonable requests on a first come, first served basis. It is our goal to provide an equitable amount of extra tickets to all families that request them. If we are unable to do so, we will contact you by phone to let you know what we are able to do for you. Otherwise, you will receive your tickets in the graduate’s packet that he or she will receive immediately after rehearsal on June 25. We ask that if you do not need your allotment of four tickets, that you return the extra tickets to Ms. Gillen in the Counseling Center, so that we can redistribute them to families who need more.
On the day of graduation, Open Stage Media will be live streaming the entire ceremony via YouTube and Facebook for family and friends who are unable to attend. A DVD copy of the ceremony will also be available for purchase.
If you are in need of wheelchair seating, please notify Ms. Gillen in writing by Monday, June 3. This seating is limited due to restrictions placed upon us by Proctors. Please understand that we can only assist you with wheelchair bound individuals.
Parking is available in the lot directly behind Proctors and in the parking garage. Please do not park in the Hampton Inn lot on Clinton Street. If you do, your car will be towed. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Bianchi at (518) 382-2511, ext. 21759.
