Chromebook Handbook/Agreement Info Sessions for Sixth Grade Families

All incoming 6th grade students will be provided with a Chromebook at the start of the school year as part of a new student technology initiative. In order to receive a Chromebook, the district will need a loan agreement signed by each student and a parent/guardian. A handbook that covers various aspects of the use of the Chromebok and student expectations is currently being finalized.

Incoming 6th grade students and their parents/guardians are invited to attend an upcoming information session where the handbook and loan agreement will be introduced, any questions will be answered, and the district can begin collecting signed agreements. Two sessions have been scheduled:

  • Wednesday, July 25, 6 p.m. in the Van Antwerp Middle School Auditorium
  • Thursday, August 2, 6 p.m. in the Van Antwerp Middle School Auditorium

The same information will be covered at each session so that families can choose the one that works best for them.

However, attendance is not required. The district will be sharing the handbook and agreement via e-mail next week, and signed agreements can simply be printed out and sent to the district office.

If you are attending one of the above sessions, please use the entrance to Van Antwerp that leads directly into the auditorium. This is the exterior doorway closest to Van Antwerp Road on the Story Avenue side of the school.
