Board of Education Policy 8230: Custodial Services

The custodial and maintenance personnel in each building shall be responsible for performing all necessary repairs and maintenance except for those requiring specialized assistance. Authority over all custodians shall be the responsibility of the Building Principal. No major custodial work may be initiated without the Building Principal’s prior approval.

Except in the event of an emergency, all requests for custodial service, equipment repairs, etc. are to be sent to the Head Custodian on the “Custodial Service Form”. In an emergency, for Principal’s office shall be contacted for help. Anything that jeopardizes the safety of the students shall be deemed to constitute an emergency.
