Board of Education Policy 4771: Early Graduation

Students may graduate from high school in less than four years provided sufficient credits are acquired in the courses required for graduation. The final decision on whether to allow early graduation rests with the high school Principal after consultation with the student’s counselor, the student and the student’s parents or legal guardian.

A student that has completed diploma requirements in fewer than eight semesters and is otherwise eligible to receive a diploma is not required to continue enrollment in the high school for the sole purpose of completing physical education requirements.

The Superintendent of Schools is directed to establish guidelines that assign an early graduate an exact rank in class in relation to pupils who complete the usual four-year course of study.
