Board of Education Policy 4714: Parent Conferences

The Board of Education encourages parent conferences as an effective means of communication between home and school.

Teachers have a responsibility to meet with the parent or legal guardian to discuss students problems and progress. When a parent or legal guardian requests a conference with a teacher, the teacher should try to schedule the meeting so as not to interfere with the instructional progress. Teachers should notify the appropriate Building Principal in advance of such conferences, except those held on scheduled conference days.
