Board of Education Policy 3310: Development of Regulations

As a general rule, the Superintendent of Schools is responsible for the development, adoption, and distribution of administrative regulations. In the development of regulations, the Superintendent may involve at the planning stage those who would be affected by such rules, including staff members, students, parents and the public. The Superintendent should weigh with care the counsel given by representatives of staff, students, and community organizations; and inform the Board of such counsel in presenting pertinent reports of administrative regulations and in presenting regulations for Board adoption, when required.
