Special and emergency meetings of the Board of Education may be called by any member of the Board for the purpose of discussing and taking action on special situations. Notice of such meetings shall be given at least 24 hours before the date of the meeting to every Board member. Public notice shall be given in accordance with Policy 2340, Notice of Public Meetings.
If in an emergency a special meeting is held before the twenty-four hour notice can be given, the notice requirement may be waived by unanimous action of the Board if all Board members are present at the special meeting. This waiver action should be recorded on forms which each member signs and the fact of such signing should be recorded in the minutes.
