2019 Junior Prom Schedule, News and Information

The Junior Prom will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 8-11:30 p.m. at the Albany Marriott on Wolf Road in Colonie. Snacks and beverages will be served from 7-8 p.m. A buffet dinner will be served at 8 p.m. The walk-in will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Parents and guests are asked to park in the student/visitor lot accessed from Balltown Road. Prom attendees and limos should enter from Nott St. East and proceed to the drop-off area at the door leading to “E” Hall.

The After Prom will take place from 12-3:30 a.m. at Spare Time Entertainment at 1668 Route 9 in Clifton Park. View a video showcasing After Prom activities.

Parents, please be aware that students must arrive at the Marriott no later than 8 p.m. and no later than 1 a.m. at Spare Time Entertainment.

Each student must secure and complete a “Contract for Safety” before he or she can purchase their ticket. The cost is $70 per person, which includes admission to the Prom, the After Prom and tax.

Beginning on Monday, April 8, the “Contract for Safety” can be downloaded here or obtained in the main office from Mrs. Conte or in the Counseling Center from Ms. McCooey. All signed contracts must be returned to Ms. McCooey in the Counseling Center by May 8 for final approval before the student can purchase a ticket. Tickets will be on sale from April 29-May 9 at Crossroads from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Checks should be made payable to NHS Class of 2020.

Please note that all students who owe detentions must complete that obligation before a ticket will be sold to them.

Please note that if parents wish to be notified that their child has not arrived at the After Prom by the designated time, then they must complete the section on the contract entitled “Important Notice Regarding After Prom.”
