Seventh graders tour and explore Mass MoCA and The Clark Art Institute

Ninety five seventh grade students from Iroquois and Van Antwerp middle schools went on a thought provoking art field trip to Mass MoCA (Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art) and The Clark Art Institute on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

The students participated in two guided tours where they explored and engaged in a wide variety of topics including classical drawing, oil painting, figurative sculpture, large scale charcoal drawings depicting a narrative, archaeology of an analog versus digital world, and the exploration of a cave as a metaphor for human courage and inner strength.
