Public Access to the Niskayuna High School Campus

Niskayuna High School is a hub of activity in our community and regularly hosts a variety of events. Outside use of the high school is primarily confined to non-school hours and weekends. All visitors during the school day require permission to be on campus through established visitor sign-in procedures. During the school day, visitor access to the high school is limited to two areas: the West Entrance facing Balltown Road and the East Entrance near the Bus Loop. After school and during the evening hours, visitor access to the high school is limited to those who have a legitimate purpose (such as meeting with a staff member or an approved guest of student clubs) or attending an authorized event at the school.

High School Track & Tennis Courts

The track and tennis courts are open to the public prior to 7:30 a.m. and after 5 p.m., provided that they are not in use by district interscholastic athletic teams. Use of the track and tennis courts is prohibited after dark. Although these areas may be used by community members during the times noted above, any formal organization that seeks to use them as a site for its activities must make a request through the district’s facility use process. Consult the Facilities Use Handbook.

Playing Fields

To protect the playing fields for use in interscholastic athletics, the fields at Niskayuna High School are not open to community use unless authorized through the district’s facilities use process.
