Student Congress has opened a grant that allows clubs and organizations within the school to apply for funding. While Student Congress is not a fundraising entity, money from dissolved club accounts feed into the Student Congress account at the end of the year. This will be distributed to clubs and organizations that are chosen through an application process. Learn more and access the grant application

A representative from Herff Jones Company will be at the high school on Tuesday, Dec. 12 and Wednesday, Dec. 13 to take orders for graduation announcements, rings, and caps and gowns. The representative will be set up at Crossroads from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. [read more]
The Lifetouch photographer will be in the building in the pool lobby on Nov. 1 for students who need to have their picture taken and for retakes. We encourage all students to have their pictures taken, even if they do not plan to purchase pictures, because these photos will be used to make their student ID card.
The Department of Continuing Education will again offer SAT preparation classes in English and Math this fall, beginning in early September. A schedule for each and registration details are available here
Summertime allows us to choose books we are interested in and enjoy reading them at our leisure while keeping our analytical minds active. The Schenectady and Niskayuna School Districts in collaboration with Capital Region BOCES will be offering a High School Summer Program at Schenectady High School. This is a fully accredited program that will be made available only to registered students of Schenectady and Niskayuna schools. As we approach the final weeks of school, the high school is providing the schedules and informational reminders for local and Regents exams. June 2017 exam information
Summer 2017 Driver Education Information Registration dates will be May 15-26, with a deadline of 12 noon on May 26 for all applications to be in. Registration information can be picked up at the high school's East Office. The cost is $350. Openings will be filled starting with seniors, in the order of oldest to youngest. The dates for the course are July 5-August 8. Students must be available from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., 5 days a week during this time frame. Students should not sign up for the course unless they can attend every class. In order to be eligible students must be 16 years of age on or before July 5th, 2017 and must be in possession of a driver's license or a valid learner's permit before the course begins.
Mike Jones' legacy of excellence in language education and advocacy for his students, was recognized by the Capital District YMCA with its Outstanding Educator Award on April 5.
