Niskayuna High School Seeking Hall of Fame Nominations

Applications due by January 31

Niskayuna High School is accepting nominations for its 2018 Hall of Fame induction in June.

The Hall of Fame is a gallery of Niskayuna High School graduates who have made significant contributions to their professions or communities.

A committee, made up of citizens, students, faculty and administrators, will select the inductee from nominations submitted by the public. Nominating forms are available in the Niskayuna High School main office, the district office, the town supervisor's office, or online at niskyschools.org. Completed forms must be returned to the high school principal no later than Tuesday, Jan. 31.

"The Niskayuna High School Hall of Fame honors graduates who have distinguished themselves in a specific field of endeavor, in civic affairs, humanitarian affairs, or other areas deemed to merit special recognition," High School Principal John Rickert said. “We believe the Hall of Fame contributes to our positive school climate, and brings our community together in sharing the successes of our native sons and daughters," Rickert added.

Formal induction into the Hall of Fame will be held during the high school commencement on Thursday, June 21 at Proctors Theatre. A plaque honoring the inductee will be permanently placed on the Hall of Fame wall at the main entrance of Niskayuna High School.

Niskayuna's Hall of Fame was instituted as part of the school's 25th anniversary in 1983.
