Tech Valley High School, located on the campus of SUNY Polytechnic Institute,
represents a high school option that current 8th grade students and families may
wish to consider. Tech Valley is a regional public high school that is open to
all students at no cost to parents through the district's partnership with
BOCES. Students learn through hands-on projects that are based in authentic
applications of New York state learning standards.
Students and families who are interested in learning more about Tech Valley High School are encouraged to visit the school's website, attend an upcoming information session (see below), and talk with their middle school counselor.
Admission to Tech Valley is based on a lottery, depending upon the number of applicants. The student application deadline for the 2017-18 school year is Wednesday, Feb. 22.
Tech Valley Information Sessions
The first official step in the Tech Valley admissions process is attending an information session. These events give interested students and their families a chance to meet current students and teachers, learn about the school's curriculum, and look at the challenges and rewards a Tech Valley High education can offer.
There are three information sessions taking place at Tech Valley High School (TVHS) over the next two months:
Thursday, Jan. 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at TVHS, 246 Tricentennial Drive, Albany NY 12203
Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at TVHS, 246 Tricentennial Drive, Albany NY 12203.
