Board of Education appoints Superintendent of
Buildings and Grounds
The
Niskayuna Central School District has selected
Granville supervisor John Rabine as its
Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds.
The Board of
Education appointed Rabine at its
July 11 meeting. The appointment was
effective July 25.
"Mr.
Rabine comes to our district with extensive
maintenance and construction experience. His
can-do attitude and enthusiasm for excellence
motivates others around him," said
Superintendent Kevin Baughman. "I am excited to
welcome John to our district."
Rabine succeeds
Bob Rossi, who retired in July after 8 years of
service to the district. Baughman's
recommendation to appoint Rabine followed an
extensive search process.
Rabine was
previously superintendent of buildings and
grounds for the Granville Central School
District for four years, and during that time
was clerk of the works for a $2 million roofing
project, and worked on a $17.6 million building
project. Previously Rabine was a maintenance
mechanic for the Glens Falls City School
District and custodian for the Glens Falls and
Queensbury school districts. He was also a
security specialist for the United States Air
Force.
Rabine is a New
York State licensed asbestos supervisor,
inspector and management planner.
