Parents of Niskayuna preschoolers invited to "A
Peek into Kindergarten"
Parents of Niskayuna Central School District
preschoolers are invited to "A Peek into
Kindergarten," an evening program about
preparing students for kindergarten.
The program is
scheduled for Wednesday, January 18 at 7 p.m. in
the Rosendale Elementary School cafeteria (2445
Rosendale Road). The program is appropriate for
parents with preschoolers of any age.
Topics for the
evening include:
*Overview of the goals of the kindergarten
program in the Niskayuna schools
*Tips for preparing students for kindergarten
*Ideas for supporting literacy and math
development in young children
*Overview of kindergarten programs and support
services available to students
*Information about the January 24 building
project vote
The evening
will also include time for questions and
answers. Presenters include Superintendent Kevin
Baughman, Rosendale Principal Brian Aylward,
Glencliff Elementary School Principal Fran Reinl,
Craig Elementary School Kindergarten Teacher
Kimberly Fuda and Glencliff Kindergarten Teacher
Abby Weber. The event is free and expected to
last 60 to 90 minutes.
