5th Annual International Festival
sponsored by Niskayuna High School's
Multicultural Society; scheduled for May 13, 6-9
p.m., Blatnick Gym
The Multicultural Society of Niskayuna High
School is proud to present its fifth annual
International Festival, which will take place on
Friday, May 13 from 6-9 p.m. at in the high
school's Blatnick Gym.

The event is free,
but donations are appreciated, and all proceeds
will be used to help support global charitable
organizations, such as Heifer International.
Multicultural
Society members are dedicated to promoting the
awareness of global cultural diversity in
students and in the community. The International
Festival will provide an opportunity for people
of all ages to experience pastimes, traditions
and food from all over the world in a carnival
environment.
This year, the
Society is drawing together elements from all
previous events to create a night of cultural
fun! Performers will include African drummers,
Irish step dancers, martial arts experts,
fences, and Niskayuna High School's Foreign
Language Department. Additionally, booth
activities will be running all night, with
activities such as fortune telling and henna to
international games such as Bocce and ping-pong.
Exotic delicacies from places such as India,
Latin America, China and the British Isles will
also be on hand for attendees to sample.
This is the
perfect opportunity to discover the world with
friends and family. The International Festival
will surely tickle your five senses!
