The Niskayuna High School Hall of Fame
deadline for 2008 nominees: January 31

As part of Niskayuna High School's 25th Anniversary celebration in 1983, the school instituted the Niskayuna High School Hall of Fame program.

The purpose of the program is to honor graduates who have distinguished themselves in a specific field of endeavor, in civic affairs, humanitarian affairs, or other areas deemed to merit special recognition.

"It is our hope that today's students see in these inductees people worthy of emulation. We believe the Hall of Fame program contributes to our positive school climate, and brings our community together in sharing the successes of our graduates," said Niskayuna High School Principal John Rickert.

A committee of citizens, students, faculty and administrators will select the inductee from nominations submitted by members of the public.

A formal induction into the Hall of Fame is held each spring at graduation. The 2008 inductee will be honored June 26 during graduation at Proctor's Theatre. A plaque with an etched photograph of the Hall of Fame member with a brief biographical description will be permanently housed in the Hall of Fame area at the main entrance of Niskayuna High School.

To be eligible for consideration to the Hall of Fame, one must have been a graduate of Niskayuna High School. Nominating forms are available in the Niskayuna High School Main Office, Niskayuna Town Hall and the District Office.

Forms can also be downloaded here, either in PDF format (PDF documents require Adobe Acrobat Reader to be viewed, which can be downloaded for free from the Adobe Acrobat web site.)

For more information, call the High School at (518) 382-2511, Ext. 4301.
