High School Science Olympiad team headed to states
Congratulations to
Niskayuna High School's Science Olympiad Team A, which won first
place at the regional competition in February. The team members are: Clark Bowman, Geoff Bylina, Mike
Chow, Matt Conlon, Dryw Downing, Ben Hayashi, Steve Kassof,
Nikita Kiriy, Dinesh Kommareddy, Utsav Kumar, Chris Law, Matt
Law, Alec Lindman, Kevin Ryan, James Tang and Alex Yepikhin.

Alumni: You may be contacted by Harris Publishing
Harris Publishing of Norfolk, Virginia is
creating an alumni directory for the school district. Representatives will be contacting
alumni (by mailings and/or telephone calls) to see if they would like to be included in
the directory. The directory will be published in the spring, and will be advertised on
this web site (check the Alumni pages). Thank you for your help in creating this
valuable resource.
Fantasy author meets with middle school students
On
January 30 English author David Clement-Davies visited both
Niskayuna middle schools to talk about writing. Here, he answers
Iroquois students' questions, including where he gets ideas, and
his writing process.
Rosendale Elementary School lunch program recognized with state
award
Congratulations to the
Rosendale School lunch program (run by Food Services Director
Debbie Brennan), which recently received an award from the New
York State Nutrition Association and NY Farms! for its ongoing
creative efforts to use locally grown produce and educate
students about healthy eating. In September, Rosendale's
activities included a day-long event with a "Milk Mustache"
booth, the New York State Dairy Princess and the Activ8Kids
bicycle ride to school. Congratulations!
Niskayuna High School yearbook preorders finished
Yearbooks can no longer
be ordered online. A limited number of extra books will be
available to students (on a first-come, first-serve basis) when
the books arrive in late May/early June. to top |
