The Name-A-Chair
Project
Sponsored by Niskayuna Friends of Music
Everyone -- parents,
businesses, community members, staff -- is invited to donate to the
future success of the Niskayuna Performing Arts programs by
sponsoring a seat in the refurbished High School Auditorium.
The names of those making a pledge
will be engraved on brass plates inset on an arm of one of the
1,000-plus seats.

Seats are assigned on a first-come
first-serve basis, beginning with the center seats in the front of
the auditorium. Your engraving will remain for the life of the
auditorium.
Use of funds raised
The goal is to establish a fund that will
promote the Performing Arts through facility
improvement and program enhancement within the
auditorium.
A Name-A-Chair Advisory Committee
will work with the school district to determine the best use of
funds raised, including:
- Improved equipment, such as additional lighting for the
auditorium.
- Additional student and program opportunities, such as artists in
residence, and special performing arts events in the auditorium.
A minimum donation is $125 per
chair arm for individuals and families or a minimum of $250 for
businesses. This donation is tax-deductible.
There are 30 to 40 letters
(including spaces and punctuation) available per plate, divided into
two rows. No messages please -- only names of individuals or
businesses will be engraved. Engraving can include graduation dates.
