Due to a widespread recall of certain private-labeled peanut butters and peanut butter products, Niskayuna Central School District has halted the sale of all peanut butter items in its cafeterias as a precaution. Late last month, the New Mexico-based Sunland Company announced a voluntary recall of certain peanut butter and peanut-butter products. At this time, the district is awaiting more information from the United States Food and Drug Administration, the state Office of General Services, and its vendors.
