Children invited to 2006-07 preschool story
hours
Niskayuna
elementary schools offer free preschool story
hour programs during the school year for
children entering kindergarten next fall.
Programs are held at the elementary school
buildings and include a variety of stories and
activities. Look for programming at the school
where your child will attend kindergarten next
school year.
Birchwood
Elementary School:
Programs held on Thursdays beginning January 4
and ending April 19. Programs run from 12:45-1:40 p.m.
and include a 20-minute activity time in the
gymnasium with physical education teacher Mr. West and a 30-minute story
time in the media center with Mrs. Disque.
Teachers and staff members are frequently
scheduled to speak with parents about school
programs during the hour when the children are
engaged in the gym and library.

Craig
Elementary School:
Programs held every Tuesday from
9-10 a.m. from late February to April. Students will listen to
stories, take out books and videos, and work on
crafts with parents. To register, call Suzanne Sogoian at 377-0156.
Glencliff
Elementary School:
Programs begin in October. Call Media Specialist

Hillside
Elementary School:
Programs held on Tuesdays beginning January 2 to April
3,
from 10:10-11:00 a.m. Students hear stories and
may borrow books, then spend time in the
gymnasium playing games led by a physical
education teacher. To register, call
377-1858.
Rosendale
Elementary School:
Programs held on Tuesdays from mid-October to
April, from 10:40-11:15 a.m. Program
includes a story and time to borrow books. Every
other program will also include 15 minutes in
