Registering students in the Niskayuna school
district
To register a student, contact District

4333, or via e-mail at
jvertigan@niskyschools.org to set up an
appointment. (See below for kindergarten
registration.)
Families should
remember to bring the following to their
appointment:
 Student's
birth certificate
Student's
immunization record (Note
vaccine requirement changes as of January 1,
2005)
Proof
of residency*
Most
recent report card (if applicable)
*Please
note: Children attending Niskayuna schools
must be residents of the school district.
Children of future residents may be enrolled
providing the parents/guardians show evidence --
in the form of a construction, purchase or
rental agreement -- that guarantees residence
within three months. [Read

Kindergarten
Registration
Children must
be 5 years old on or before Dec. 1 of the year
they enter kindergarten. Parents/guardians of
eligible children identified through the
previous district census are sent registration
packets in the mail before registration day
(this year registration is scheduled for January
16, 2008). Families not notified during
January should contact the school their child is
expected to attend. Contact the schools by
