   N- C A P  . . . "Twenty five years, and counting."   The Niskayuna Community Action Program is a  non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to providing programs and supporting existing programs important to the people who live and/or work in the Niskayuna Central School District and  the Town of Niskayuna.

VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARDS
 The P. V. S. A.  (the President's Volunteer Service Award)- a national program to recognize individuals, families, and groups with
 outstanding community Service  -
Recognition takes place Tuesday, May 27, 7 p.m. at Iroquois Middle School.

                                  
     
 N-C A P  Is a  fully sanctioned 503(c) not- 
       for profit community program.

FAMILIES and YOUTH


Niska-Game for Middle School Kids
-
a family and youth night for each Middle School - a GIANT floor-sized local monopoly game for kids Friday and Saturday
November 4 & 5

"After-Prom" for the Junior Class - providing a safe and drug-free place to be for kids after the prom

Scholarships for graduating seniors -
(two) annual scholarships available to graduating seniors meeting application criteria - information available at the HS Guidance office

Sponsorships for Community Groups and Clubs - financial support to DARE, Natural Helpers, Youth-to-Youth, and numerous community youth  athletic clubs and the NHS Student Activities Coalition

 


NISKA DAY- Saturday May 17 , 2008  an annual event in spring bringing neighborhoods together with a parade and fair at the NHS.  Click here for Niska-Day Photos.

 President's Volunteer Service Award - (ongoing)
the local program of the national effort to recognize volunteers for their community service efforts.

Safe Homes - (ongoing) a network of adults committed to providing safe and drug-free environments for kids and youth.
