About the Artists
Julie Jordan, Special Guest, Piano
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Jordan
studied piano with Adolph Baller, Aube Tzerko
and Abbey Simon. She has performed extensively
as a recitalist and guest soloist in the United
States and Europe, and is author and teacher at
the Juilliard School. Her first prize awards
include: Marin Symphony, Music Academy of the
West and Pacific Music Society.
Edward Bee, Alumni Soloist (Class of 1973),
Tenor
Now residing in Chicago, Mr. Bee is the Director
of Planning and Information Management at the
American Red Cross. He performs professionally
with Bella Voce and has appeared with several
vocal ensembles in the Chicago area.
Jason Dashew, Alumni Soloist (Class of 1997),
Bass
Mr. Dashew currently serves as Director of
Choral Activities at Bethlehem Central High
School. He directs community choirs and is a
Choir Director with American Music Abroad. He
also performs with the Albany Pro Musica choir
in upstate New York.
Alison Duncan, Alumni Soloist (Class of
1993), Alto
A resident of New York City since graduating
from the Hartt School of Music, Ms. Duncan has
been a member of the WOW Cafe Theater, a women's
collective in the East Village since 1998, where
she has been active both on and off stage.
Sherri Strichman, Alumni Soloist (Class of
1971), Soprano
A former member of the New York City Opera, Ms.
Strichman has performed with Lake George Opera,
Opera Excelsior and several regional opera
companies. She teaches voice at Schenectady
County Community College and at the Carondelet
Music School.
Paula Brinkman, Director, Concert Chorale
Paula Brinkman has been a music educator with
the Niskayuna Central School District for 30
years. Mrs. Brinkman is a popular guest
conductor and her choirs consistently earn
superior ratings at state and national music
festivals.
Christopher David Neubert, Music Director and
Conductor, Symphony Orchestra
Mr. Neubert brings a wide variety of experience
in both educational and professional music and
has been guest conductor for music festivals
around the Northeast. Presently, he directs
orchestral studies and music theory at Niskayuna
High School and is an Adjunct Instructor at the
College of St. Rose.
