closing a $4.1 million budget gap, leaving only
a handful of issues for further discussion
before finalizing a proposal for the community
to vote on. The Board meets next on March 27.

Students,
staff walking in March of Dimes - Join them!
Youth to Youth, a drug prevention program for
students in grades 6-12 has created a team for
the March of Dimes Walk to help raise money and
awareness for babies born prematurely with birth
defects. The team is inviting all members of the
Niskayuna Schools community to join them on on
Sunday, April 29th at 10 a.m. in the Crossings
of Colonie.

State Youth Orchestras’ music director conducts
students in district Orchestra Festival
The event featured
260 young musicians comprising the high school
orchestra and three middle-school orchestras,
who also worked with Helen Cha-Pyo as part of a
3-day residency in the days leading up to the
March 14 festival. The festival and the
residency were supported by Niskayuna Friends of
Music.
