Fall Sports Reminders from coach smith

Pink Slips and Grey Cards have been distributed to those student/athletes wishing to tryout for all fall sports in 2017. Please note that we have had a lengthy conversation in a large group with your students about participating in athletics for 2017. They have filled out interest forms (pink slips) and may have brought home a Grey Card if they were interested in a fall sport.
All fall sports begin in August and many are "cut sports," so there is generally a tryout process. Each tryout process is a bit different than the next, so it is good to reach out to the athletic office at the high school (382-2511 x 21760) to get contact information for the specific coach(es) for the sport if you have questions.
Please pay close attention to the dates below for delivery of the Grey Card (physical/code of conduct acknowledgement) to the high school nurse:

  • Freshman/JV/Varsity Sports begin on August 14, first date to turn in Grey card is 7/14
  • Modified football begins on August 24, first date to turn in Grey card is 7/24
  • All other Mod Sports begin on August 28, first date to turn in Grey card is 7/28.

Grey cards can be dropped in the main office or nurses office at the high school during regular summer business hours (8 a.m.-3 p.m.). These offices are found at the main entrance, a short way down the first hallway on the right. (across from side entrance to auditorium). Do not drop the Grey card here at Iroquois.

Good luck to all of those kids who are trying out!
